Who is your Website for?
This may sound like a strange question, but it is a very important one. When designing a website, it's easy to get carried away with making the website fancy with all the bells and whistles and ending up with a stunning, cutting-edge site. Now ask yourself "who" is going to use the website? Does the website tailor to the needs and wants of your clients or is the website designed more on looking cool?
The focus of the design should be on "who" is going to use your website. What environment are they coming from? What are their expectations, wants and needs? You want to tailor your website so they feel at home. The look, feel, and how they use the website will determine how long they stay.
